The birthplace of fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen is located in the old precinct of Odense. The place is a museum for the writer’s work with exhibits about the world-renowned author’s fantastic life. Follow the life of the writer from the difficult years as a son of a poor shoemaker to becoming the most recognised author of the century. This exhibit recounts the childhood years of Hans Christian Andersen in Odense, the hardships endured on the way to fulfilling his dreams in Copenhagen, his schooling, his artistic debut and writer’s career and his old age.
